Bolivian Recipes: Api

Api is already consumed in Bolivia in the morning, mostly when it is very cold. The mixture of Purple Api and Api Blanco is very popular. We will show you how easy it is to prepare Api.

ZUBEREITUNG VON API MORADO & BLANCO

  • Preparation (for 40 g):
  • 1. Dissolve the contents of the Api mixture (Morado or Blanco) in a cup of cold water.
  • 2. Add three cups of cold water, then add three cups of boiling water, 2 sticks of cinnamon, and 2 cloves.
  • 3. Cook for 10 minutes while stirring constantly. Season with sugar.
  • 4. You can also add orange peels (or orange juice) to refine the flavor.
  • 5. Serve. The Api looks particularly nice when you pour Api Moradp and Api Blanco into the glass one after the other.
